Introduction
This privacy policy informs users about our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information when using TanPro ("the Service"), operated by Kappish AB.
Information Collection and Use
Local Data Storage
- Your tanning sessions, skin type, preferences, and progress photos are stored locally on your device
- We use Apple's SwiftData framework for secure local storage
- Your progress photos are stored on your device and are never uploaded, with one exception you control: if you choose the optional AI skin scan during onboarding, that single selfie is sent to Google's Gemini API to estimate your skin type (see Third-Party Services below)
- We operate no servers of our own — the only data that leaves your device is described under Third-Party Services below
- We never collect your name, email address, or phone number. Nothing we or our service providers hold can be tied to who you are
Location
- TanPro uses your location to fetch local UV index and weather forecasts
- Location requests are handled by Apple WeatherKit; we do not store your location on our servers
- You can also pick a city manually instead of sharing your location
Third-Party Services
The app uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you:
- Google Analytics for Firebase
- Used for anonymous usage statistics
- Helps us improve app functionality
- Firebase Crashlytics
- Collects crash reports to improve app stability
- Includes technical information about your device
- RevenueCat
- Handles subscription management
- Processes purchase transactions
- Receives your onboarding answers (skin type, tanning goal, and preferences), tied to a random per-install identifier — never to your name or email, which we do not collect. We use this to understand which kinds of users find the app worth subscribing to
- Apple WeatherKit
- Provides UV and weather data for your location
- Google Gemini API (via Firebase AI Logic)
- Used only if you choose the optional AI skin scan during onboarding — you can always answer the skin-type questions instead
- Receives a downscaled copy of your scan selfie and returns an estimate of your skin type; the photo is not tied to your name or email, which we do not collect
- We use Google's paid API tier, on which Google does not use your data to train its models

Log Data
In case of an error in the app, we collect data and information (through third-party products) called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your:
- Device Internet Protocol ("IP") address
- Device name
- Operating system version
- App configuration
- Time and date of app use
- Other statistics
This information is used solely for debugging and improving the app's performance.
Data Protection
Local Storage Security
- Your data and photos remain on your device
- Protected by your device's built-in security features
- Encrypted when your device is locked
- Not accessible to other applications
Your Rights
You have full control over your data:
- View all your stored information within the app
- Delete any records at any time
- Uninstall the app to remove all local data
- Request deletion of data held by our third-party providers (usage statistics, crash reports, subscription records) by emailing hej@kappish.se — we will pass the request on to the relevant provider
Children's Privacy
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take necessary actions.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the app accordingly.
